Attention, arts and crafts enthusiasts! Are you looking for a unique decorative piece for your home? Perhaps you want to give someone a special gift. Or maybe you’re just passionate about American craftsmanship and supporting local and national skilled artisans. If so, you definitely should attend the Sugarloaf Crafts Festival hosted by Germantown’s own Sugarloaf Mountain Works. The fair will be held October 14-16 at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds.
Founded in 1975, Sugarloaf Mountain Works partners with the nation’s most talented artisans to showcase fine folk art and contemporary crafts. The organization holds a series of large craft festivals across a number of states, including Virginia, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
The fairs are extremely popular and give attendees an excellent opportunity to see a vibrant selection of art, as well as meet the artists behind the pieces. Last year, nearly 200,000 people attended Sugarloaf shows and purchased more than $20 million in original arts and crafts directly from the artists. Why don’t you come out and experience the festival being held October 14-16? You just might leave with an exquisite treasure!
